Hythe View is a specialist dementia and nursing home, able to support those with a variety of behavioural support needs.

Across both homes, residents’ individual needs, preferences and relationships remain at the centre of everyday care.
The Willow Community provides residential, nursing and dementia care through Hythe View and Betsy Clara House. Across the community, we also support people with complex needs and long-term conditions, with care tailored to the individual. The most appropriate home and level of support depend on each person’s circumstances. Our teams can discuss the care required, explain the services available at each location and help families explore which setting could best meet their loved one’s needs.
Yes. Hythe View and Betsy Clara House both provide nursing care and support for people living with dementia, including those who need these services together. Care teams are available around the clock, with support shaped around each resident’s individual requirements. An initial assessment helps identify the most suitable home and care environment. This gives families an opportunity to discuss their loved one’s needs and understand how the team can support their comfort, dignity and wellbeing.
Choosing between our homes involves considering care needs, personal preferences and a location that works for residents and their families. Hythe View is on North Road in Hythe, with sea views, landscaped gardens and a terrace. Betsy Clara House is on Courtenay Road in Maidstone, offering a welcoming environment with specialist nursing and dementia support. We encourage families to explore both homes, meet the teams and discuss individual requirements before deciding which feels right.
Both Hythe View and Betsy Clara House offer activities that reflect residents’ interests and abilities, with opportunities to participate individually or alongside others. Dedicated Activities Coordinators arrange daily programmes, complemented by visiting singers, entertainers and community groups. Each home has its own programme, giving residents opportunities to enjoy companionship and meaningful experiences. Our shared approach recognises the importance of personal choice, helping people remain connected to the interests and relationships that matter to them.
Hythe View and Betsy Clara House provide freshly prepared meals, with menus reflecting residents’ dietary requirements and personal tastes. Mealtimes are an important part of feeling at home, combining nutritious food with opportunities for company and conversation. At Hythe View, family and friends are welcome to join residents for a meal, while Betsy Clara’s team also places importance on welcoming loved ones and responding to residents’ preferences.
